Applicant Parameter Definitions

Below you will find definitions for all of the available Applicant Parameters in the StudyAway Portal. This information can be helpful for selecting the information you need when creating a report.

Hold_Flag	YESNO	SIS	Yes/No	Does the student have a hold on their account.
VLP_Flag	YESNO	SIS	Yes/No	Verification of Lawful Presence flag. If they haven't submitted this documentation to admissions or there is a problem, it will say Yes.
Degree_1	SELCT	SIS	Text	First degree type. i.e. "Bach Sci Family and Cons Sci"
Degree_2	SELCT	SIS	Text	Second degree type. i.e. "Bach Sci Family and Cons Sci"

Overall_GPA	NUMBR	SIS	Decimal	Student's GPA including both UGA coursework and Transfer coursework.
Current_Academic_Level	SELCT	SIS	Text	Student's current academic level. i.e. "Undergraduate"
Transient_App_Submitted¹	YESNO	SIS	Yes/No	Has the transient student submitted an application to UGA
Transient_Home_Institution¹	FIELD	SIS	Text	Transient student's home institution
Transient_App_Fee_Paid¹	YESNO	SIS	Yes/No	Has the transient student paid the UGA application fee
Transient_Decision_Code¹	FIELD	SIS	Text	Status of transient student's application. i.e "Applicant Accepted Offer"
Transient_Transcript_Recieved¹	SELCT	SIS	Yes/No	Has the transient student submitted their transcript to UGA admissions
Transient_Campus_Code¹	FIELD	SIS	Text	What UGA campus will the student be studying on. i.e. "Study Abroad Cortona, Italy"
Transient_Application_Term¹	FIELD	SIS	Integer	UGA term that the student has applied for, in the Banner term format. i.e. "201508"
Student_Athlete	YESNO	SIS	Yes/No	Is the student registered as a student athlete
Student_Disability	FIELD	SIS	Unknown	Probably contains information on student disability, if reported.
Last_Term_Enrolled	FIELD	SIS	Integer	UGA term that the student was last enrolled for, in the Banner term format. i.e. "201508"
custom_01	FIELD	SIS	Text	Student's class. i.e. "Freshman", "Sophomore", etc.
custom_02	FIELD	SIS	Text	Total institutional credits earned
custom_03	FIELD	SIS	Text	Total overall credits earned
custom_04	FIELD	SIS	Text	Preferred Name
custom_05	FIELD	SIS	Text	Military Flag
custom_06	FIELD	SIS	Text	Georgia Rural Status

UGA ID	FIELD	SIS	Integer	UGA student ID number. i.e. "810123123"
CISI Phone Number	FIELD	SIS	Text	Student's phone number. This is identical to the phone number they have on file with the university and is used for the CISI enrollment module.
UGACR Legacy ID	FIELD	UGACR Legacy Database	Integer	Applicant ID number from the UGACR Terra Dotta
Foundation Fellow	YESNO	Set manually by staff	Yes/No	Indicates if a student is part of the Foundation Fellows. This is updated manually each year with a list sent by Honors.
Ramsey Scholar	YESNO	Set manually by staff	Yes/No	Indicates if a student is part of the Ramsey Scholars. This is updated manually each year with a list sent by Honors.
EA Approved	SELCT	Set manually by staff	Multiple Selection	Indicates Education Abroad approval of student travel registrations. i.e. "Pending"
OGE Internal Flag	YESNO	Set manually by staff	Yes/No	Used internally for testing purposes. It's an easy way to flag certain applications so you can bring them up with one query.
Ethnicity for Reporting	SELCT	Set manually by staff	Multiple Selection	Used for IIE Open Doors reporting.
External for Reporting	YESNO	Set manually by staff	Yes/No	Used for reporting because the normal profile-level external flag is not available in standard reports.
Franklin UGA Cortona Scholarship Applicant	YESNO	Set manually by staff	Yes/No	Used to give Franklin UGA Cortona Scholarship committee access to both scholarship and Cortona program applications for specific students.
AlertTraveler Eligible	YESNO	Set manually by staff OR automatically by 15-minute scheduled task	Yes/No	Makes the traveler eligible to use the AlertTraveler mobile app (meaning they can install the app on their device and register/link it with their SAP application).

¹User accounts for transient students in the StudyAway Portal are very rarely integrated with our student information system. As such, these parameters will almost always be blank.
